While setting up a Linux-router, I ran into a couple problems, had to read too many HOWTO's. So I thought it would be usefull if I wrote something down. I hope other people, who don't know anything about Linux will be able to set-up a simple router so they can enjoy the Internet and connect their LAN with the Internet.
This document assumes that you have already configured your network devices. If not, the NET-3-HOWTO should give you more information about this subject. Normally, you won't have to do this because most distributions do install and configure everything. The ISP-Hookup-HOWTO is also usefull if you have to set up a dial-up connections.
